Give to Grow: Uniting Business with Positive Impact

With the holiday season in full swing, we took a moment to reflect on our favorite guiding principle, Give to Grow, and how it has shown up in meaningful ways this year.

Cards falling with personality traits

To us, giving and growing have always gone hand in hand. With the holiday season in full swing, we took a moment to reflect on our favorite guiding principle, Give to Grow, and how it has shown up in meaningful ways this year.

Here’s what Give to Grow means to our team:

We enjoy “paying it forward”. Whether it’s supporting our team with constructive coaching and a helping hand, or it’s supporting good ideas and causes to make our world a better, more sustainable place, we are driven to make a positive difference.

Our motivation to give is also rooted in our desire to grow—knowing that every act of generosity offers us the chance to learn from those we support, gaining new perspectives, insights, and wisdom that help us evolve positively—together.

We decided to skip the typical marketing “gift giving” ideas and share the ways that giving can shape growth instead.

Stories of Impact

Here are a few of the initiatives our team at Flo. Marketing has been proud to support and be involved in this year.

Mentor Walks

Mentor Walks is a vibrant community of 15,000+ women across Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Dubai. It connects professional women with inspiring female CEOs, Directors, Executives, and Founders to collectively “step [their] career forward.”

At Flo., we’ve always valued the mentors who have shaped our careers and pushed us forward. We joined Mentor Walks in Vancouver to help grow and mentor professionals throughout the community.

Take a look here if you’d like to bring Mentor Walks to your city.

iMWomen

We also joined Infrastructure Masons’ iMWomen program—an initiative focused on increasing the number of women pursuing careers in infrastructure and supporting the women already shaping the industry.

As digital infrastructure is one of the core industries we actively support, joining iMWomen was a meaningful step in supporting and strengthening the industry’s future.

The broader iMasons community champions sustainability, talent development, and innovation—values that mirror what drives our work at Flo.

Seeds of Hope

Seeds of Hope is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide upward mobility through education—helping young leaders achieve their dreams and improve their communities.

We believe education is one of the most powerful ways to shape the next generation. Over the years, we’ve partnered with Seeds of Hope to help share student stories, strengthen their digital presence, and expand their reach through pro bono marketing and strategy support. We’re proud to continue championing their work and contributing to their annual fundraising efforts, which directly support student meal plans, books, and yearly scholarships.

AMA/BCAMA

The American Marketing Association is a community of marketing professionals who work, teach, and study in the field. Our Director, Jacqui Benson, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the British Columbia chapter, leading their thought leadership event series.

As marketing is constantly evolving, it’s important for us to give back to our community of marketers and help others grow in their careers.

Wrapping Up 2025 With Gratitude

This year reinforced that, for our team, “give to grow” isn’t just words on a page. It’s a lived experience that has shaped the last 12 months in ways big and small.

Giving our time and insights to the organizations and nonprofit communities we care about came back threefold through renewed perspective and clarity, new connections, and the joy of watching others grow through the support we offered.

We hope that “Give to Grow” doesn’t just remain a Flo. guiding principle. We hope it becomes a ripple that reaches all of you.

We encourage you to think of giving and gratitude in unconventional ways this year. Perhaps it’s mentoring a peer, giving yourself grace, or offering help with no strings attached. However you give, we’d love to hear your experience when you do!

Our Plans to Give and Grow in 2026

Before we close out 2025, we wanted to share a glimpse of what’s ahead. Since our founding, we’ve helped build and elevate more than 50 brands worldwide. We’re firm believers that a company’s brand is essential to its success. And more importantly, so are the people behind it.

Now, more than ever, people want to hear from the emerging leaders and executives shaping these businesses. Their stories. Their perspectives. Their “why.”

In the spirit of Give to Grow, we are launching a new business early next year that will be solely dedicated to personal brand development for emerging leaders and executives. By helping people share their unique voice and perspectives with confidence, we hope to drive new connections, inspire new ideas, and help leaders expand their reach in truly meaningful ways. (Stay tuned for more on this early in the first quarter of the new year.)

We’re excited for what’s next and grateful to be growing alongside you. Here’s to a season of giving, a year of growth, and a new year shaped by possibility and community.
